Sup ("the App") is operated by Antoni Blonkowski, doing business as BLONEKDEV, NIP: 571-172-78-74, Poland ("we", "us"). Contact: contact@supthe.app.
We are the data controller for personal data processed in the Sup app. This policy explains what we collect and why, in line with the GDPR. See also our Terms of Service.
1. Data we collect
- Account: phone number (or Apple ID identifier), username, age, nationality - used to create and secure your account and personalize matching.
- Profile: photos, avatar, and the status text you write. An AI-generated public bio is created from your status text and shown to other users.
- Messages: chats with your friends, stored so we can deliver them.
- Voice input: if you use voice-to-text in chat, audio is sent to our servers for transcription and is not kept after transcription.
- Purchases: subscription status via Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.
- Reports: if another user reports you (or you report someone), we record who reported whom and when.
2. Legal bases
We process account and message data to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), safety and report data in our legitimate interest of keeping the service safe (Art. 6(1)(f)), and anything based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) can be withdrawn at any time.
3. Processors we use
- Clerk - sign-in and phone verification
- Apple - payments and Sign in with Apple
- RevenueCat - subscription management
- Anthropic - AI text generation and transcription
- Cloud hosting providers for our servers and database
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
4. What other users see
Your username, avatar, photos, AI-generated bio, and status are visible to users you are matched with or friends with. Messages are visible only to the people in the chat. Your phone number is never shown to other users.
5. International transfers
Some of our processors (such as Apple and Anthropic) are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Retention
Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, and messages are removed; report records may be retained where required for safety or legal reasons.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). To exercise any right, email contact@supthe.app.
8. Children
Sup is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly process data of users below that age.
9. Changes
We will announce material changes to this policy in the App before they take effect.
